Embroidered with 95th, 100th and 390th Bomb Group Emblems and 8th Air Force
The 13th Bombardment Wing was created in the US on in October 1942 and assigned to the Eighth Air Force. The Wing was moved to England in May-June of 1943. Redesignated as the 13th Combat Bombardment Wing (Heavy) in August 1943. The Bombardment Groups were assigned in September of 1943.
