UNCENSORED LETTERS
FROM WWII B-17 PILOT MAJ. ALBERT “BUCKY” ELTON
The Bloody Hundredth’s Third “Bucky”
England 1943-1944
Apple TV’s “Masters of the Air” chronicled the heroism and POW experiences of WWII bomber pilots Buck Cleven and Bucky Egan. "Uncensored Letters: From WWII B-17 Pilot, Major Albert “Bucky” Elton, The Bloody 100th’s Third “Bucky” England 1943-1944" narrates the story of those left behind at Thorpe Abbotts whose ranks were decimated and morally devastated. The book reveals the private thoughts of Maj. Albert “Bucky” Elton, one of the four remaining original 100th Bomb Group airmen, who was tasked to rebuild the 350th Bomb Squadron with inexperienced replacement crews. Elton’s journey chronicled through “Uncensored Letters” to his wife and parents, gives unprecedented access to the Bloody Hundredth.
